Is potluck spelled like that? Or pot luck? ahahah I'm not sure because I don't even know why they call it potluck. Okay so I followed my mum to a potluck party with her friends yesterday at Desa Park. Left the house at like 5+ in the evening & only arrived at 7pm. It was super jam due to the fasting season. Why did they decide to have a potluck during the most traffic jam time of the year... Anyway, was so glad I tagged along because not only did I get to enjoy great food, I got to enjoy it in a nice environment!
* * *
I would definitely be motivated to swim everyday if I lived here.
Look at the infinity pool out-looking the housing area landscape. Love that rattan sofa!
A gym that looks like it's floating on water! It's facing a nice view some more! #goals
#ootd before the sun goes down. & also before the feast so not so fat. hahahah.
My mum & her friends came & copied me by posing here too since I found the best spot for a photo. :D
These pots are so cute! There's a little space to sit as well.
Another little hut chilling area. Just in love with the hanging vines!
They've got enough chilling areas for a big party! & spot the deck! Looks kinda like a playground area with the netting.
A collage of some of the food. There were more food in the end & I didn't snap some. But my favourite was the yam cake! I normally don't eat yam cakes at all but this one was exceptional! Made by my mum's friend's mum, it was packed with real ingredients and a lot of work. Simply delicious!
Time to eat! Yummy fried mee with sotong sambal, roasted duck & some braised lamb (done by mum). Not to be bias but the braised lamb was really good! ;P
Fruit tart for dessert! I just love tarts!! The tart had durian flavoured cream which I didn't particularly like but it was still good! Okay, I didn't just have 1 serving of the noodles & stuff but if I snapped a photo of my plate every time I refilled, there would be a lot of photos... ahahah just saying :P
Night time already! The pool is all lit up so nicely! I could totally imagine a pool party there right now.
I wonder what are those trees called. So cute but totally not for shade. Just to look pretty.
The grass looks like a rug & this scene is so romantic!
The pretty aunties' candid shot.
They put so much attention to detail that even the lights created a cool shadow that looked like a pattern.
Took a dip in the pool after eating. Just my feet since I was too lazy to change to my swimwear. Chilled while feeling the breeze blow through my hair. That feeling. <3
Explored around the area as well. Just love how the place is so well lit everywhere.
Up at the playground like bridge.
Lastly before we left, the host made this game & whoever wanted to try their luck had to pay RM1 for 4 tries. It was a childhood game my mum & her friends used to enjoy. Something like a lucky draw. It was so cute & I've never heard of it. I tried my luck & got a prize on my first try! Beginners luck I guess. xD After numerous tries from everyone, they complained about not being able to win anything so the host let us all get 10 tries for free!
We all tried & most of us didn't get anything. In the end, we just ended up peeling & trying until there were no more papers left. Funny that after all the paper has been peeled off, there were still prizes left. Which means that it's not possible to win everything ahahah! But it was fun la. Great idea for parties. I won 4 prizes from it, a toothpick pouch, lipstick pouch, 10 cents and the biggest prize of it all. A red packet! With...
a condom in it! LOLOLOL.
It was kind of awkward but whatever ahahaha. I guess it was supposed to be a joke among their friends but never expected a kid *sorta* to get it.
Overall it was a fun & enjoyable night of good food & a great environment! :)
