Hello dear readers! Like I mentioned before on my first post, I will post whatever food reviews & stuff from recently and slowly work up to the present. :) There aren't many with nice camera photos so I guess there will just be around 3-4 posts more. Unless you guys don't mind phone camera photos? OK la. You guys don't mind I also mind because I'm kinda a perfectionist. xD I'm still thinking if I should transfer my Europe trip from last year on my Dayre here because I really just loved that trip & all the photos! Thus, not many people use Dayre so... What do you guys think? But it'll be kind of weird since it really was like more than a year ago. Maybe I will bring it back as a throwback post? We shall see :D
So my friends & I went to this really cool skull-ish but also hippie cafe awhile back named Calavera, which is at Jalan Mesui. In case you don't know where that is, it's actually near Changkat Bukit Bintang & there are many other small cafes along that street too. It's a really happening nightlife kind of place but cool to chill & snap photos in daylight as well!

This is the outdoor seating. Hippie right the colours & all? Love the hanging garden!
Each table is decorated with pink chrysanthemums & a little mug with serviettes & cutlery! Doesn't the mug remind you of those mugs used in old kopitiams where they serve half boiled eggs in?
More photos of Calevera's surroundings. Somehow the photos I took of the surroundings went missing so here are some credits to EatDrinkKL
Look at the hanging skull on the chandelier & more skull decor! (photo by EatDrinkKL)

The staff saw us snapping away of the surroundings & when we got seated, she offered to help us get a group photo! She was super nice & smiled to us throughout her whole service. Service 5 stars! ahahahah
Obviously when the food came, it was time for a "foodtography" session! Just love the shadow play.
Darlene & I ordered grilled chicken with chips on the side. The sauce if I'm not mistaken is apple sauce which I felt tasted kind of weird. I just went & stuck to ketchup instead.
Tea! So since the place was so instagram worthy, we went & had a photoshooting sesh after our meal. I was a little bloaty but hey, I couldn't miss out a chance on getting a cool photo to update on my social media! :P
*acting cool*
LC overload!
Okay la. Smile a bit & no more LC even though my eyes seem to be missing here.
In the end I chose this to post on my Instagram because posing cool is so cool. If that makes sense. Hahaha!
After brunch, my friends & I felt it was still kind of early to go home. So we walked to Feeka for some drinks & dessert which was only a couple of doors away.
My hot chocolate & Darlene's super chocolatey chocolate cake! My hot chocolate was good, not too sweet with a tinge of bitterness.
Look at that moisture! :O
My supposate artsy shot.
Overall I can say that Calavera is not really a brunch place because there isn't many choices of food & for the price you're paying, you can get better food elsewhere. But I'll definitely recommend it as a place for drinks at night & chilling with friends because it's really a lively party place. As for Feeka, it serves good food and drinks, a great place for chilling with friends if you love a cozy place because it's quite a small and quiet cafe.
Anyway, here are the locations for both places!
